"Quiet hours turned deadly."
Eli Rogers is a budget traveler who snores like a freight train, and the quiet pod dorm at Neon Nest was supposed to keep that contained. His roommate, Riku, has been awake for three nights, headphones failing and patience thinning.
The hostel posts a new "Quiet Hours" sign next to a @HostelReaper note: "Silence has a price." Eli laughs it off after hearing about the Prague wristband death. He tells Riku to buy earplugs. Riku decides on a faster solution.
The pillow becomes a weapon, and the dorm’s calm becomes another crime scene in the series of traveler betrayals.

Neon Nest Hostel sold itself on silence. The pods were lined with soft fabric, the lights dimmed to a gentle glow, and the staff whispered as if they were in a library. Eli loved it. He sprawled across his mattress and passed out within minutes, the day’s ramen and sake folding him into sleep.
Riku stared at the ceiling from the neighboring pod, eyes gritty, ears ringing. Eli’s snore rolled through the room like a train, louder with each breath. Riku had tried earplugs, tried white noise, tried leaving for the lounge. Nothing drowned it out. The quiet hostel made the noise feel even louder.
On the wall by the pod ladder, a sign read "Quiet Hours: 10 PM to 8 AM." Someone had added a note below it: "@HostelReaper: Silence has a price." Eli had snapped a photo and sent it to a friend with the caption, "Tokyo is so extra." Riku read it and clenched his jaw.
By the third night, Riku's exhaustion turned to anger. He shook Eli’s pod once, then twice. Eli rolled over and snored louder. Riku sat up, heart hammering, and looked at the pillow in Eli’s pod like it was a tool the room had been waiting to offer.
He climbed out of his pod, slipped into Eli's, and pressed the pillow down. At first it was a demand for silence, a push meant to wake him. Then Eli’s arms flailed, the snore broke into a gasp, and Riku pushed harder. The room stayed quiet. The only sound was the soft hum of the air conditioning.
When Riku finally pulled away, Eli lay still, eyes half open. The snoring had stopped. Riku sat back on his pod, shaking, and told himself it was an accident. The hostel didn't notice until morning, when Hana made her rounds and found the pod closed with no response.
The police called it suffocation. The hostel called it a tragedy. A new sign went up by the lockers: "Snoring solutions available at reception." On the wall, beneath the @HostelReaper note, someone added: "Death #25. Silence has a price."
The pods filled again that night. The quiet returned, just a little heavier than before.
